Fix song titles, artists and albums, add album art, number tracks and fill tags from file names — for one MP3 or a whole album at once. Works with MP3, M4A, FLAC, OGG and WAV, keeps the audio untouched and never uploads your music.

What are ID3 tags?

ID3 tags are the information stored inside an MP3 file — title, artist, album, track number, genre, album art and more. Music players, phones, car stereos and streaming apps use them to sort and display your library. Other formats have equivalents: MP4/iTunes atoms in M4A files and Vorbis comments in FLAC and OGG.

For a well-organised library, give every track of an album the same Album and Album artist (use “Various Artists” for compilations), and fill in track numbers with the total (e.g. 3 / 12) so tracks play in the right order.

This editor writes ID3v2.4 tags, the current version supported by all modern players. Only the tag section of the file is rewritten — the audio frames are copied without re-encoding, so the sound quality never changes.

Can’t find your answer? Contact us — we reply quickly.

How do I edit the tags of an MP3 file?

Drop the MP3 onto this page, change the fields in the tag form and click “Save tags”. Download the updated MP3.

How do I add album art to an MP3?

Select the file (or switch on “Edit all files together”), then drop, paste or choose a JPG/PNG image on the cover box and save.

Can I edit many files at once?

Yes. Switch on “Edit all files together”: fields you fill in (e.g. album, year, cover) are applied to every file; mixed fields you leave empty stay unchanged.

Does editing tags change the sound quality?

No. Only the tags are rewritten; the audio is copied bit for bit.

Which formats are supported?

MP3, M4A/AAC, FLAC, OGG/Opus and WAV (WAV can’t hold album art).

Are my files uploaded?

No. The editor runs completely in your browser.

Which ID3 version is written?

ID3v2.4 with UTF-8 text, supported by Windows, macOS, iOS, Android and all common music players.
