Tips for a music visualizer that gets views
A good audio visualizer makes people feel the beat with their eyes. For bass-heavy genres — trap, dubstep, phonk, drum & bass, car music — choose presets that react to the kick: Bass Reactor, Sub Drop, Quake or Subwoofer. Then raise Bass shake and Bass zoom under Effects for more impact, or lower them for calm music.
If the visual barely moves, increase Sensitivity or Bass boost under Audio reaction; if it jumps too much, raise Smoothness. Kick detection controls how easily flashes, shock waves and bursts are triggered.
For YouTube, export 16:9 in 1080p or 4K at 60 fps. For Shorts, TikTok and Reels choose 9:16 and the best 15–60 seconds of the song (use Only a part). Add your cover art in the centre and the title at the bottom so viewers recognise your track in the feed. Use Save current frame to make a matching thumbnail.

Good to know
- Only upload music you own or have permission to use — platforms check audio for copyright.
- Rendering speed depends on your device: a 3-minute 1080p video takes about 1–4 minutes on a modern computer. 4K and 60 fps take longer.
- Cut your song to the best part first with the Audio Cutter, or find its tempo with the BPM Calculator.
- Need a smaller file for messaging apps? Run the result through the Video Compressor.
Frequently asked questions
Everything about making audio visualizer videos with ToolCMB.
Is this music visualizer really free?
Yes. You can create as many videos as you like in up to 4K, without watermark and without an account.
Is my song uploaded to a server?
No. The music is analysed and the video is rendered in your browser using your device’s processor and graphics chip. Your files never leave your device.
Which audio files can I use?
MP3, WAV, M4A/AAC, FLAC, OGG, Opus and most videos with sound (MP4, MOV, WebM). Songs up to 60 minutes work on computers, up to 20 minutes on phones.
Which video format do I get?
MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio — accepted by YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X and every phone. WebM (VP9 + Opus) is also available.
Can I make TikTok, Shorts or Reels videos?
Yes. Choose “YouTube Shorts” or “TikTok · Reels” under Export: the video becomes 9:16 and you can pick the best 15–60 seconds of the song.
Can I add my logo, cover art or background photo?
Yes. Under Customize → Logo / centre choose “My logo”, and under Background choose “Image”. You can blur and darken the photo and let it zoom with the bass.
Can I save my own visualizer style?
Yes. Customize a preset and tap the bookmark button. Your presets are stored in this browser; use “Export my presets” to back them up or move them to another device.
Why is the export slow on my phone?
Every frame is drawn and encoded on your device. Choose 1080p and 30 fps on phones, keep the screen on and the tab open. Computers with a dedicated graphics chip are the fastest.
Can I monetize videos made with this tool?
The visuals you create are yours to use, including commercially. You need the rights to the music itself.
